Am I Eligible for an Alberta Security Licence?

Before you enrol, make sure you meet the province's requirements. Most people qualify — here's exactly what's needed:

Age & Work Status

• You're 18 years of age or older
• You're legally eligible to work in Canada

Communication

• You're fluent in English (spoken and written)

Background

• You have no criminal record, outstanding charges, or active criminal investigations against you
• You're not currently employed as a police officer, sheriff, bailiff, or debt/collection agent

Training

• You complete an approved training course (like our ABST program) and pass the provincial exam
